Apple Cider Doughnuts
​INGREDIENTS

DOUGHNUTS

1 and 1/2 cups Sauk Farm Apple Cider

2 cups all-purpose flour leveled
-
1 teaspoon baking soda
-
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
-
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
1/4 teaspoon salt
-
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
-
1 large egg, at room temperature
-
1/2 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
-
1/4 cup granulated sugar
-
1/2 cup milk, at room temperature
-
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

GLAZE
-
1 and a 1/2 cups Sauk Farm Apple Cider

1 teaspoon Sauk Farm Apple Powder
-
1/2 cup to 3/4 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons butter

DIRECTIONS

Reduce 1 1/2 cups Apple Cider to 1/2 cup for about 20 minutes on the stove with occasional stirring.

Preheat oven to 350F and grease doughnut pans.

Melt butter.

Mix sugars, butter, egg, vanilla, milk and reduced apple cider in a bowl.

Mix powders together, add to liquid mixture, mix until well combined.

Spoon onto greased doughnut pans, cook for approx 11 minutes.

While doughnuts are cooking, reduce another 1 1/2 cups Apple Cider to 1/2 cup on the stove.

Let doughnuts cool for 10 minutes.

Remove cider from stovetop, and put in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of butter. Mix.

Mix cider, butter, powdered sugar and apple powder together until mixed.

Drizzle all over the doughnuts. ENJOY!
